Gaston Lindegger

At the end of the war, thanks to the support of one of his regimental comrades, Gaston took over an optical store that had been located on the rue du Rhône since the end of 1800. He remained at the head of the company until 1980, when he passed the baton to his son Gérard.

Gérard Lindegger

Gérard started his optician’s apprenticeship in Basel, at Ramstein Optik. With his certificate in hand, he crossed the Channel to perfect his craft in London. He continued his journey as an optician in New York and then in Los Angeles, before returning to Geneva some fifteen years later to join his father. In 1980, he organized the move of the company to 15 Cours de Rive and took over the management. He is expanding the store’s skills in the area of optometry (eye exams and contact lenses).

Marc Lindegger

Become an optician? How could it be otherwise when, as a young child, Marc would accompany his father to the store and spend hours watching the meticulous gestures of the technicians assembling the glasses and polishing the lenses in the workshop. He worked there himself, before leaving for an apprenticeship in Neuchâtel and then starting his career as an optician in Zurich. He joined Lindegger Optique in 2011. Respecting the classicism of the store and taking pride in the excellence of the team’s skills, he adapts Lindegger Optique to the digital demands of a highly competitive market.
